English Abstract

Introduction: Family planning services are frequently used and important services for women. Service quality has important implications for women's health especially in elderly women. We assessed the quality of family planning services in premenopaused women in Ardebil health centers. Materials and Methods: This study was a descriptive –analytic one that included 344 women over 35 years old who were selected by random sampling from the population who used current family planning methods. Data were collected by a questionnaire and interviewing with women. Results: Findings showed that the quality of family planning services including: getting observation, primary examination, annual and periodic examination, education and counseling and fallow up were very bad in %46.8, %74.7, % 78.5, %81.1 and %66.3 of women respectively and total status of family planning quality in %66.2 of premenopaused women was very bad. Conclusion: Results showed that improving of elderly women's health needs to improve of many factors in health care system that family planning services is one of them.
