Assessment of occupational health and safety climate in workers small workshops in Ardabil province

Background & Objectives: Workers in small workshops in terms of Facilities and sanitation, occupational accidents and work-related risk factors are adverse conditions and at risk. Assess and identify areas that are most difficult to help plan interventions and training more focused on that part. Methods: this study kind of cross-sectional study and population of Ardabil province is 368 workshops from small workshops. Going a random the workshops and face to face interviews to gather information. and after completing all the questionnaires using the software SPSS data were analyzed. Results: In the Obligations of the employer, Environment, health and safety, Understanding risk, Job Satisfaction and awareness was acceptable and in the communications and accountability employer was unacceptable. Age, work experience, education Climate occupational health and safety not correlated and the incidence of work-related disease and a history of occupational accidents was significant relationship. Conclusions: Overall climate Occupational Health and Safety is acceptable. With the information available, Create conditions for dialogue between workers, Transfer experiences people who have past caused by work accidents and disease, and adopt strategy for participation employer the design and implementation of occupational health and safety programs Can be applied to improve the situation.
