Persian Abstract
یکی از مهمترین شاخص های بین المللی برای ارزیابی رشد و سلامت جسمی، اندازه گیری وزن و قد و تعیین توده بدن (BMI) بر اساس سن می باشد.بر اين اساس، جهت تعيين شاخص هاي فوق در سال 1384 مطالعه اي توصيفي –مقطعي بر روي 4282 دانش آموز پسر 19-7 سال كه به روش نمونه اي گيري چند مرحله اي انتخاب شده بودند ، انجام و ميانگين و انحراف استاندارد و صدك هاي 5، 10، 25، 50، 75، 90 و 95 قد و وزن و شاخص توده بدن به تفكيك سن محاسبه گرديد . نتايج نشان مي دهد كه ميانگين قد و وزن پسران شهري به صورت معني دار از همسالان روستايي خود بيشتر است (p<0/05). ميانگين قد پسران اردبيلي در تمامي سنين مورد مطالعه از هم سالان كرماني كمتر و از همسالان قائناتي بيشتر مي باشد. هم چنين ميانگين و تمامي صدكهاي قد و وزن و توده بدن پسران 19-7 ساله اردبيل زيرصدكهاي مشابه خود در استاندارد NCHS قرار دارند. در مجموع به نظر ميرسد با انتخاب دقيق نمونه ها از مناطق مختلف، استانهاي كشور و يا سطح كشور نسبت به تدوين يك معيار مشخصي براي قد و وزن اقدام و الگوي رشد متناسب با هر منطقه و كشور را تعيين نمود.

A Survey of Height and Weight of Ardebilan boys aged 7-19 years and comparison of them with NCHS reference population and other Studies in Iran
English Abstract
Measurement of body Weight and height and determining of body mass index(BMI) according to age is one of the most international important indicators for evaluation of growth and physical health . In 2005 , To assess the status of growth pattern of 7-19 year boys in Ardebil, with a descriptive cross-sectional study , 4282 healthy boys were selected by the multi stage sampling method and their age, body weight , height and body mass index were recorded, then 5,10,25,50,75,90,95 percentile ,mean and standard deviation in different age were analyzed. The results showed that the mean of Height , weight in urban boys is significantly higher than their peers in rural region . (p<0.05).Mean of height in Ardebilian boys is less than their peers in Kerman but more than their peers in Gaennat . Mean and all of the height ,weight and body mass index percentiles in Ardebilian boys aged 7-19 years were less than their American peers according to National Center for Health Statistics data(NCHS). In the end ,an appropriate growth pattern which is suitable for the region should be adopted.
