A study of aterosclorosis risk factors effects on 6 months mortality in patients with acute myocardial infarction in Ardabil Bouali Hospita

English Abstract

Introduction: Acute myocardial infarction is one of the major causes of human death in world today,especially in doveloped countries.The risk factors like cigarette smoking,hypertension , diabetes mellitus , dyslipidemia are the predisposing risk factors.The aim of this study was to research about the role of risk factors on 6 months mortality in patients after AMI. Methods: in this research ,the data of patients, after diagnosis AMI (with observation, physical examination , electrocardiography, the serum levels of cardiac enzymes)were collected with the help of questionnaires and then the data were analyzed with statistical methods. Results:From 200 cases ,153 cases (76%) were men and 47 cases (24%) were women.31%of patients had hypertension with drug using , 15/5 %had diabetes mellitus , 13% had dyslipidemia, 47/5% had cigarette smoking.11/5%of patients died on 6 months after AMI. Conclusion: Acording to this study, no significant relation was found between hypertension , dyslipidemia and cigarette smoking with increasing rate of 6 months mortality in patients with AMI.This study showed only a meaningful relation between diabetes mellitus and increased mortality.
