4.Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) use Among University Students in Ardabil City, 2014
English Abstract
Background: NSAID’s are the common drugs used for acute and cronic pains. Excessive and inappropriate use of these medications can be having many side effects on youts and student’s health in future. OBJECTIVE: The aim of study was to determine the rate of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs use among university students Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study has been done on 400 students selected randomly from Ardabil city universities. Data collected by a questionnaire and then analyzed by statistical methods in SPSS.19. Results: Of students, 68% were male and rests of them were female. 68.3% of students were in age group 20-25. 62% of students were from medical university. 69.3% of them have awarness about the NSAID’s. The prevalence of NSAIDs use among students was 68%. The most common causes of NSAID use was headache (38.3%) in the form of Gelofen with 36.3%. Conclussion: According to the high prevalence of NSAID use between students (68%), doing more studies in future about Notification educated class and youts towards contaminations of uses NSAIDs and decrasing rate of use and better medical behaviours is necessary.
