Molecular imaging methods in detection of gynecologic cancers, (a review study)
خلاصه انگلیسی
Gynecologic oncology is a specialized field of medicine that focuses on cancers of the female reproductive system. Molecular Imaging emerged in the early twenty-first century as a discipline at the intersection of molecular biology and in vivo imaging. PubMed and MEDLINE databases search for only English-language articles published before June 2014 was performed. The purpose of this review is to summarize literature coherent to clinical roles of positron emission tomography (PET) or integrated PET and computed tomography (PET/CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and emerging techniques of these two molecular imaging tools for gynecologic malignancies.
