Persian Abstract

مقدمه: سرطان پستان یکی از سرطانهای شایع در بین زنان می باشد که با تشخیص به موقع شانس بهبودی به میزان زیادی افزایش می یابد. خودآزمایی پستان از جمله راهکارهای تشخیص و غربالگری زود هنگام سرطان پستان می باشد. هدف از مطالعه حاضر تعیین آگاهی، نگرش و عملکرد زنان شاغل در دانشکده علوم پزشکی شهرستان خلخال از خودآزمایی پستان و ارتباط آن با برخی از مشخصات فردی می باشد. روش کار: پژوهش حاضر یک مطالعه توصیفی تحلیلی است که بر روی 300 زن شاغل در دانشکده علوم پزشکی خلخال انجام شد. ابزار مورد استفاده پرسشنامه محقق ساخته چهار قسمتی مشتمل بر مشخصات فردی و اجتماعی، سوالات مربوط به آگاهی، نگرش و عملکرد می باشد. داده ها پس از جمع آوری با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS/13 تجزیه و تحلیل شد. نتایج: نتایج نشان داد که سطح آگاهی، نگرش و عملکرد اکثریت زنان از خودآزمایی پستان خوب (به ترتیب 56/5، 53/6 و84/70 درصد) می باشد. همچنین ارتباط آماری معنی¬داری بین آگاهی، نگرش و عملکرد با رشته تحصیلی شرکت کنندگان دیده شد (0/001 >P) بحث: مجموع یافته های مطالعه نشان داد که اکثریت زنان شاغل در دانشکده علوم پزشکی خلخال از آگاهی، نگرش و عملکرد خوبی برخوردار می باشند اما به نظر می رسد این میزان در مقایسه با شاغلین در سایر دانشگاه ها کمتر می باشد؛ بنابراین پیشنهاد می شود با توجه به نقش کارکنان بهداشتی در آموزش و ارتقاء سلامت جامعه؛ تدابیری جهت افزایش سطح آگاهی و عملکرد این قشر اندیشیده شود.

Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Female Employees in Khalkhal Faculty of Medical Sciences of Breast Self-Examination and Its Relationship with Some Individual Characteristics

English Abstract

Background and Objectives: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women that early diagnosis greatly increases the chance of recovery. Self-examination is one of the ways for screening and early detection of breast cancer. The aim of this study was to determine the knowledge, attitude and practice of women employed in the Khalkhal Faculty of Medical Sciences towards breast self-examination (BSE) and its relationship with some individual characteristics. Material and Methods: This study cross-sectional study was conducted on 300 women who were employed in Khalkhal Faculty of Medical Sciences. A researcher-made questionnaire designed in four categories was used which contained demographic and questions related to the knowledge, attitude and performance. Data were analyzed using SPSS v. 13 software. Results: The level of knowledge, attitude and practice of BSE among the majority of women was partially favorable (5/56, 6/53 and 70/84 percent, respectively). Knowledge, attitudes and practices of women about BSE was affected by their field of study (P<0.001). Conclusion: Women working in Khalkhal Faculty of Medical Sciences have relatively good level of knowledge, attitude and practice about BSE but with regard to the role of health workers in education and improving health; it is recommended to implement programs to achieve an ideal level regarding the knowledge, attitude and performance.
