بررسی شیوع کراس بایت در کودکان 12-6 ساله‌ی شهر اردبیل و میزان ارتباط آن با عادات دهانی فرد

Persian Abstract

مقدمه: کراس بایت نوعی ناهنجاری دندانی می باشد که در آن رابطه‌ی طبیعی دندان های بالا و پایین به هم می خورد. شناخت ارتباط متقابل میان عادت های مضر دهانی در دوران کودکی و ایجاد کراس بایت، در جلوگیری از بروز آن در افراد موثر خواهد بود. در این پژوهش ما برآنیم تا شیوع کراس بایت در کودکان 12-6 سال و میزان ارتباط آن با عادات دهانی را بررسی کنیم. روش ها و مواد: تعداد 250 نفر از کودکان دختر و پسر 12-6 ساله‌ی شهر اردبیل، گروه مورد مطالعه‌ی این پژوهش می باشند. نمونه گیری به صورت تصادفی خوشه ای طبقه بندی شده و از نواحی آموزشی «یک» و «دو» شهر اردبیل صورت گرفت. مطالعه در دو بخش بالینی و پرسشنامه ای انجام گردید. بخش بالینی شامل معاینه‌ی فاکتورهای دندانی و صورتی کودکان و ثبت آنها و بخش پرسشنامه ای با همکاری والدین کودک و جمع آوری اطلاعات درباره‌ی عادات دهانی کودکان انجام شد. برای بررسی آماری از نرم افزار spss16 و آزمون آماری کای دو (x2) برای مقایسه‌ی نتایج به دست آمده استفاده گردید. p-value کمتر از 0/05 از نظر آماری مهم تلقی شد. نتایج: تعداد 250 کودک،121 دانش آموز پسر و 129 دانش آموز دختر که در محدوده سنی 6 تا 12 سال بودند،مورد مطالعه قرار گرفتند و 250 پرسشنامه که حاصل همکاری والدین آنها بود، جمع آوری و نمره گذاری شد. در این مطالعه فراوانی کراس بایت 12/8 درصد گزارش و ارتباط معنی داری میان جنس و کراس بایت نشان داده شد. همچنین رابطه‌ی معنی داری میان شیوع کراس بایت و مکیدن طولانی مدت پستانک وجود داشت. بحث: در این مطالعه شیوع کراس بایت و ارتباط آن با جنس، و نیز ارتباط آن با عادات دهانی کودک بررسی گردید که ارتباط معنی‌داری میان شیوع کراس بایت با جنس و عادت دهانی مکیدن طولانی مدت پستانک وجود داشت. ولی ارتباط معنی داری میان شیوع کراس بایت با عادات مکیدن انگشت و tongue thrust وجود نداشت.

Prevalence of crossbite in children between 6-12 yeares old in Ardabil and its association with oral habits

English Abstract

Crossbite is a dental malocclusion in wich the natural position of the upper and lower teeth is not in order.The notice of the relationship between the harmful oral habits in childhood and the creation of crossbite is important in prevention of crossbite. The purpose of this study is to estimate the prevalence of Crossbite in children between 6-12 years old and its relationship with oral habits. METOD: 250 boys and girls between 6-12 years old from Ardabil have been entered to this study.The method of sampling is cluster random sampling .The study was carried out in two parts of clinical and questionnaire.The clinical part consist of examination and register of oral and facial factors.The questionnaire part is done using the collaboration of childrens parents of gathering the information a bout oral habits of children.for statistik analysis SPSS16 software and Chi_squared test have been used.The p-value amounts lower than 0.05 were statistic valuable. RESULT: 250 children consist of 121 boy students and 129 girl students were examinated.Also 250 questionnaire ,wich were by their parents completed have been collected and evaluated.in this study the prevalence of crossbite was 12.8% and a significant relationship between sex and crossbite was shown.Also there was a significant relationship between crossbite and the long –term pacifier sucking. DISCUSSION: In this study the prevalence of crossbite and its relationship with,sex as its relationship with childs oral habits were investigated.There was a significant relationship between crassbites prevalence and sex and the long-term oral habit of pacifier sucking.on the other hand there was no significant relationship between crossbites prevalence and the habits like thumb sucking and thongue thrust.
