Translation and Cross Cultural Adjustment of Professionalism scale in Nurses

English Abstract

Introduction: Professional latest fundamental concepts in nursing. Society today needs nurses who are able to accept and carry out their professional roles. Professional has many benefits for the patient, their organization and nurses. Due to the need for valid and reliable tools for professional assessment, this study aims to Translation and Cross Cultural Adjustment of Professionalism scale in Nurses. Method: Translation was carried out by 4 stages including: forward translation, backward translation, pretest and cognitive interview, final version and documentation. Results: In translation process the problematic words identified and it was corrected, the last edition of questionnaire achieved. Conclusion: This study showed that the translated version “professionalism scale of nurses" is a useful instrument to help nurses and nursing administrators to understand the impact of professional nursing actions in order to improve clinical practice nurses, patients and organizations and even clinical training nursing students.
